Voices of Persia

The Persian Student Organization (PSO) at Northwestern is launching Voices of Persia: A humanitarian and educational initiative centered on cultural expression, community support, and meaningful engagement during a time of global uncertainty. This initiative will bring together Iranian voices through art mediums such as poetry, photography, and music to share culture, lived experiences, and perspectives that are often overlooked or misunderstood. By centering art and storytelling, the project creates an accessible and reflective space where students can engage with Iranian culture beyond headlines and build a deeper cultural awareness. Rather than this initiative being political, it focuses on fostering cultural understanding, reducing misinformation, and supporting student wellbeing through discussions and moderated dialogue spaces open to the whole Northwestern community.

The benefits and services provided by Northwestern University’s student groups are available to all students without regard to any category protected by the law. The University believes different perspectives, experiences and backgrounds are critical to a dynamic and vibrant University community, and as such all students are welcome and encouraged to join each group.
