WHO IS NORTHWESTERN DEEVA?
Northwestern Deeva is Northwestern’s premier all-female, competitive, Bollywood-fusion dance team! Our season consists of several on-campus performances such as SASA’s Festival of Lights and guest performances like Refusionshaka. In addition to those, we compete nationally in the Desi Dance Network circuit and put on our very own annual spring show. We have a multitude of talented dancers trained in everything from contemporary and hip-hop to Bharatanatyam and Bhangra. Deeva prides itself on building an environment that fosters lifelong friendships and community.
Once a Deeva, Always a Deeva! 💙
WHY DONATE TO US?
Deeva is a staple in the arts community at Northwestern. With diverse members from all over the world and across all majors, Deeva creates a space for its members and its audience to connect through dance. In order to share our hard work and dedication to our diverse range of dance styles with our Northwestern community, we hope to showcase choreography that resonates with Northwestern’s arts supporters. Our annual spring show is a way for each of us to shine through the creation of our own pieces, highlighting different styles of dance and aspects of our personality. Each donation makes an impact in helping us put on the best performance possible and giving our girls all the resources to make their visions come to life. Show lights, costumes, and even a venue are only possible with the support of people like you!

Our fundraising period has now closed, and we would like to use this space to thank everyone who contributed to this project. It takes communities like the ones each and every one of our dancers are part of to make big dreams like ours happen, and we feel so grateful for all of the support we received. Every dollar contributed matters, and we look forward to putting that towards creating a memorable spring show. Thank you to our friends, families, and community members who made this possible, we truly could not have done this without you all!
With love, Northwestern Deeva
