The purpose of SASA Show is to share South Asian culture through dance and music with the Northwestern community. SASA Show will further Northwestern's mission by showcasing diverse forms of dance and music from different parts of South Asia to the Northwestern community. The show features performances from student groups including traditional South Asian dance groups, South Asian American fusion dance groups, and even a fusion a cappella group. The show is open to the public, and each year as many as 500 people are in attendance.
The benefits and services provided by Northwestern University’s student groups are available to all students without regard to any category protected by the law. The University believes different perspectives, experiences and backgrounds are critical to a dynamic and vibrant University community, and as such all students are welcome and encouraged to join each group. Any student interested in exploring establishing a new affinity group should contact SOA.
