Hi everyone! My name is Eva Burkholder, and I am a senior studying dance, international studies, and theatre. I am so excited to be the director/choreographer of The Purple Crayon Players’ fall mainstage: Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo: A 60-Minute Family Musical! I found myself drawn to direct this slot because I have the opportunity not only to work with talented student performers and designers on campus, but also to bring this story free of charge to the Evanston/Chicagoland community! Previously, I directed the Purple Crayon Player’s winter mainstage/spring tour production of Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse as well as Fly Away Home (by Laura King) as a part of the Purple Crayon Players’ Playground Festival in 2024. Outside of directing, I love to perform, dance with other student groups, and stay involved in the theater community through choreography and arts administration. We cannot wait to share this amazing musical with audiences of all ages!!

Hey everyone! I’m Annanya Karthik, a sophomore from India studying theatre and economics. I am so excited to be the producer of The Purple Crayon Players’ fall mainstage: Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo: A 60-Minute Family Musical! As a kid, watching plays inspired me to dream bigger, act with more kindness and learn that no obstacle is too big to be overcome. To me, producing this slot is an opportunity to bring this important messaging free of charge to the Evanston/Chicagoland community! Previously, I have designed props for various NU student theatre shows, as well as been in crew leadership positions for theatre productions back home. I am passionate about making theatre accessible for all, no matter their background. I am excited for all of you to see this bubbly, yet deep show!
